Because we are so much more than an EAP, VITAL WorkLife did a brand change in 2015 to embody our broad and deep approach to behavioral health consulting. The Brand change prompted some questions, so we’ve put together an FAQ (list of Frequently Asked Questions) to help. If you still have questions not answered here, we’d love to hear from you. Q: Was the company (Workplace Behavioral Solutions) or either of its divisions (Physician Wellness Services or Midwest EAP Solutions) sold, and this is why you are changing your name?

A: No, VITAL WorkLife has not been sold, neither has any of its divisions. Owners are Mitchell & Jennifer Best, who purchased the company from the founder, Doug Adamek, in 2013.

Q: Will I need to change my authorizations or counselor?

A: No, the change to our new VITAL WorkLife company name will not cause any of your services or support  to be disrupted. You can continue with your same counselor. If you have any questions, just give us a call 800.383.1908 and we’ll make sure your support continues without disruption.

Q: What is VITAL for Physicians?

A: VITAL for Physicians is a unique suite of solutions targeted specifically to the needs of physicians and providers. Because of our deep experience with healthcare, specifically helping physicians and other providers build sustainable, healthy behaviors, VITAL WorkLife is working hard to ensure these clients know of the solutions we offer. Physicians are not always the first to seek or accept help when they, their families or their teams need support. Q: Does your company still offer EAP services?

A: Absolutely, we offer all of the services you expect from us as an industry leading EAP (Employee Assistance Program) provider – and much more. Q: What will happen to our current program name and identity?

A: Your program name will in most cases remain the same. The current names of our programs and solutions can be found at: solutions for Organizations and solutions for Physicians.

Q: Companies sometimes merge divisions when things aren’t going well build economies of scale or lay off people to save money. Is your company having financial difficulty?

A: Absolutely not, we have experienced great success over the last few years. We look forward to even more success as we build an even stronger, more synergistic team to deliver behavioral health solutions.

Q. What happened to your divisions?
Midwest EAP Solutions has been assisting organizations for over 25 years with industry leading Employee Assistance Programs in as wide variety of industries. Physician Wellness Services was established in 2009, in response to and recognition of the need to have physician and provider specific programs. As a private company in the behavioral health field, our client list and is proprietary and confidential, due to the sensitive nature of what we do. We currently have clients across the country of all sizes, from small businesses to large health systems.

Q. Can we speak with one of your customers/clients?
All of our engagements are confidential. We can provide references to interested organizations and media contacts after identifying who and what type of client might be the best contact. Our main client contacts, who are typically CEOs, CMOs and other senior administrators, welcome the opportunity to talk about their experiences with us, however they have come to expect we will honor their busy schedules. Additionally, we occasionally release de-identified case studies to illustrate some of the challenges our clients and customers face, and the outcomes achieved.
