Peer Coach
Gaurava Agarwal, MD, is an American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Certified Medical Doctor and has been a Peer Coach with VITAL WorkLife since 2020. Dr. Agarwal earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed his residency in psychiatry at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University.
Additionally, Dr. Agarwal has an Organizational and Leadership Coaching Certificate from Northwestern School of Education and Social Policy in Evanston, Illinois. Dr. Agarwal currently serves as an Assistant Professor in both the Departments of Medical Education and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine. He is the Director of Faculty Wellness at Northwestern University and also serves as Vice President and Chief Wellness Executive for Northwestern Medicine.
In 2019, Dr. Agarwal created the Scholars of Wellness (SOW), an Illinois Psychiatric Society Innovation in Physician Wellness. This award-winning program was designed to help address the organizational drivers of physician burnout. Dr. Agarwal has written extensively on physician well-being for a variety of medical journals and has presented on the topic at regional and national conferences.
